Warranty

Limited 2 Year Warranty

Manufacturer hereby warrants to the original purchaser* that all wood products manufactured and finished in house are free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of final payment received. Any cabinetry products purchased or outsourced outside of American Cabinet Solutions facility are subject to 2 years free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of final payment. When a claim for warpage, joint separation or wood growth is submitted, doors may warp after being installed due to variations in humidity levels or lack thereof. Doors that are warped must be allowed to hang through one heating cycle, or 180 days before no charge replacement or corrective application is applicable. We may, at our option and after inspection, defer action for up to 12 months from the date the claim is made to allow the Product to acclimate to the installed environment. American Cabinet Solutions reserves the right substitute discontinued products with the most similar styling, wood species and color available at the time your claim is submitted. For more information refer to our “Characteristics of Wood” document.

MANUFACTURER MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND MAKES NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Our obligation under these warranties shall be limited to the repair or replacement of any part or parts that prove defective. These warranties shall become void if American Cabinet Solutions products are misused, abused, mishandled, improperly stored, changed, modified, or subjected to extreme temperatures or extreme moisture levels, acts of God or the effects of normal wear and tear. The coverage provided in this document is exclusive to the original purchaser, is nontransferable, and is predicated upon the criteria outlined herein:

Drawer Guides & Hinges

Hinges, slides, guides, and accessories with moving parts are warranted for a period of 1 year from defect from the date of final payment. Customers have 30 days from the date of final payment to request any adjustments of drawers guides and hinges to be adjusted at no cost. Any adjustment requests made after 30 days from final payment is subject to a $75 service call charge.

The drawer guides used in manufacturers’ products have a static load rating of 75 lbs. User should be aware that the aforementioned load rating is established with the weight evenly distributed throughout the drawer. Unevenly distributed weight, and/or improper use of the drawer can result in failure of the drawer guide and is not covered under this warranty. This includes and is not limited to either or both sides dragging or sagging due to overloading or over stuffing drawers.

Hinges

Under normal use, the hinges used in the Manufacturers’ products can provide a lifetime of efficient operation. They have a maximum operational range when fully open (typically 106°). In the event that the door is opened beyond the maximum published opening, product failure may occur and is not covered under this warranty.

Finish

As with any quality finish, it will wear with age and use, depending upon the owner’s maintenance of the product. Exposure to abrasive chemicals, solvents, excessive ultraviolet light, and moisture can cause the finish to fail. Due to the variables involved in the maintenance of the finish, the Warranty on this aspect of the product is limited to 2 years from final payment date. No Warranty is provided for Unfinished cabinetry and/or accessories.

Specialty Finishes

Such as Antique, Glaze, Distressed and Vintage are purposely created with uneven and inconsistent features to produce an intended look. These variable features are excluded from warranty.

Wood Materials

Manufacturer utilizes both solid and veneered wood materials in its products. While made of the same species, veneered material’s composition causes it to receive stain differently than solid wood. Larger cabinet and accessory components are typically produced out of multiple pieces of material and while that material may be from the same wood specie, the individual pieces will display some inherent color variation beyond the control of the Manufacturer. Due to normal variations in the density and graining of wood itself, the same stain applied to another piece of the same wood specie may result in a somewhat different appearance. This variation can be greater when comparing solid wood to veneers. Additionally, wood species in all finishes will exhibit color changes when exposed to all types of light (natural & man-made). It is the general nature of wood to darken over time. Natural aging is not hindered by the finishing process. Color variations are also caused by the assortment of minerals found in the earth in which the tree was grown. The level of mineral absorption will vary in a given piece of wood. All wood species will exhibit the following attributes; sap runs, knots and pinholes. These characteristics will occur in varying degrees dependent upon the type of wood specie selected. This Warranty does not cover the effects of light and aging upon product Warranty. This Warranty does not cover delivery costs or labor charges to remove or reinstall products or any related components (including countertops) after the date of your final payment received within your 2 years limited warranty guidelines. In addition, because of its nature, wood will expand and contract. Changes in temperature, humidity and other conditions produce movements. Wood is like a sponge, and even when finished it will pick up moisture and easily expand in mountains, coastal and desert regions causing wood to warp, twist, expand, swell, crack and easily shrink. Natural woods may vary in color and characteristics and exhibit subtle changes as they age. For example, painted and stained doors, drawer fronts, and face frames may eventually have visible cracking around the joint area, and cabinet colors may darken or lighten over time. Sunlight, smoke, and other environmental conditions may also affect the color and integrity of the Product’s finish or appearance over time. These variations are considered to be the nature of the material in relation to their environmental exposure and are not covered under this Limited Warranty. Certain household cleaners and other substances may also affect the color and integrity of the Product’s finish or appearance over time. Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaners that contain chlorine, acidic cleaners, scuffing sponges or steel wool because they may scratch and affect the color or finish of the Product. Any such effects on the color and/or integrity of the finish or appearance over time are not considered defects in material or workmanship and are not covered by this Limited Warranty. Use cleaners indicating specifically for wood cabinet use.
